What is Serra?

Serra is a Catholic organization for lay persons that foster and promote vocations through prayer, affirmation and support. We strive to educate and inform our members and the Catholic Community of the Temple Deanery of our commitment to promote the ordained priesthood and religious life.

With the belief that the Holy Spirit directs the information of the flock to form a unified whole, so Serrans, as the "lay vocation arm of the church," will encourage and support priests and religious.

VISION

To put faith into action by accepting the challenge of finding and encouraging young men and women to develop an interest in the priesthood and religious life, educating parishioners of Central Texas about Serra International and its mission, praying and working together to support vocational programs in the Temple Deanery and the Diocese of Austin, Texas
